THE DESIGN PROCESS

Initial Consultation

The design process begins with a meet and greet.

This is a crucial step to understanding my client's needs, preferences, and budget. This meeting involves discussing your vision, style preferences and functional requirements, and the scope of the project. It's also an opportunity to get to know one another. I have found that one of the most important parts of a successful design project is the working relationship between all the parties involved.

Site Assessment

Show me around! I want to see the space and physically envision what you would like your dream to become.

This includes taking measurements and assessing the existing conditions and constraints of the space. Understanding the physical context helps in planning and designing a space that are both functional and beautiful.

Concept Development

This is where all the fun begins!

With the information gathered, we now start developing possible designs for the project. This often starts with preliminary layouts, mood boards and color schemes. Drafting Plans!! This concept stage sets the direction of the design and serves as a visual reference for the clients.

Design Development

Once the concept is approved, we move into the design development phase.

Detailed floor plans, furniture layouts, materials are selected. This stage may involve revisions based on the clients feedback to refine the design further.

Budgeting

With the overall design in place, it time to have our contractor give an itemized proposal for the work to be performed. 

This includes construction and labor costs. Procurement involves selecting and ordering materials, furniture and any other items needed for the project. Effective coordination with suppliers and vendors is crucial here to ensure the items arrive by the date needed to keep the project moving ahead.

Implementation & Project Management

Where all the magic starts to happen!

The implementation phase is where the design comes to life. This includes construction, renovation, and decorating work. Effective project management is essential to keep the project on schedule and within budget.

Installation & Styling

Now you see your design come to life with each finishing touch.

Once the main construction and renovation work is
complete, the installation of the furniture and fixtures takes place. This is where the house becomes a home. Bringing all the decorative elements, artwork and layers to create the warm and inviting space.
